Overview
KLRHT Echo is designed with privacy as a default. The app stores all your data locally on your device. We do not operate servers, we do not collect analytics, and we do not track you.
Data stored on your device
The following data is saved exclusively on your device using Apple's and Google's on-device storage. It never leaves your device.
- Journal entries — mood rating, tags, date, and media type for each entry
- Audio recordings — voice memos saved as local files within the app's private storage
- Photos — images you record or import are stored in the app's local storage only, never uploaded
- Videos — video recordings and their preview thumbnails, stored locally
- Day emoji markers — emoji tags you assign to individual calendar days
- App preferences — reminder time, calendar view, display language, photo import settings
Deleting the app permanently removes all of this data from your device. There is no cloud backup — we recommend using your device's built-in backup (iCloud / Google Backup) to preserve this data.
Microphone
KLRHT Echo requests microphone access only when you choose to record a voice entry. Audio is saved as a local file on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings, which will disable audio recording.
Camera & photo library
KLRHT Echo requests camera access when you record a photo or video entry. Access to your photo library is requested when you use the media import feature to add existing photos or videos as journal entries. All media is stored locally within the app. We never access your camera or photo library without your explicit action, and no media is transmitted anywhere.
Notifications
Reminders are delivered as local notifications, scheduled entirely on your device. Echo may also send a streak-save reminder if you have not recorded an entry on a day where you have an active streak. No notification data is sent to external servers. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.
Purchases (KLRHT Echo Pro)
In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and Google Play. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your payment details.
Purchase verification is powered by RevenueCat. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier and your purchase receipt to verify entitlements. No personal information such as your name or email address is shared with RevenueCat. You can read their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Analytics & tracking
KLRHT Echo contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no advertising SDKs. The only third-party SDK is RevenueCat, used solely for purchase verification as described above.
Children's privacy
KLRHT Echo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via an app update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
